Da Capo
Da Capo is a refreshing one-piano afternoon recital, held at Library@Esplanade as part of Open Mic every January. It is open to the public, meant to entertain and delight library visitors as they dine at the cafe, or browse books on the arts.
Lasting approximately an hour, Da Capo 2010 showcased music for piano solo and duet and featured an array of styles and composers. The repertoire ranged from Classical (Mozart's Sonata in B-flat, K358) to 20th Century (Debussy's Petite Suite, Heitor Villa-Lobos's Bachinas Brasileiras No. 4) to modern jazz (Hiromi Uehara's Tom and Jerry Show).
We are grateful for the opportunity given by the Esplanade to perform on their premises each year.
